We all use our peer networks to make our jobs a little easier. They
used to be called "water cooler chats" or "hallway conversations. Now

US Sailing is a bunch of losers. Have you seen their
diagram for a Quick Stop MOB? It is oval on the
wrong axis. They were more concerned with fitting
on the page, than getting it right.

I wrote the President of US Sailing and he was very
interested, refered me to someone else, I faxed in
the proper way, and then nothing, no response, no
dialog on the topic, and as far as I can tell nothing
has happened, or will happen.

I'm going to the next USS symposium. I was advised
not to try to make too suggestions, and was told
they can't seem to handle much.

After serving in the Air Force, I'm used to a
standard of excellence. On a scale of ten, ten
being the highest, I rate US Sailing a solid 4.5.

They are about as fast as the bridge workers--no
apparent progress and the job is never done.

Which president did you write? Janet? or the
past pres. Dave?
We have several issues with them, but one of our
directors is a RTC, so we try to keep good
relations with them. If you want to get something
done, try working through Pam Benjamin. She seems
to be the most conscientious.

That's funny and coincidental, because I had a conversation
with one of their unofficial webmasters. I noticed some strange
stuff, and I had trouble finding some information. He said the
same thing... they can't take too much at once. We switched
from their text books to ASA somewhat recently.
