Capt. Mooron April 17th 04 09:24 PM

6000 miles.... 4.5 days

No I didn't sail it in a Mac 26X..... I drove it in a Ford F250 4x4.

I'm back.... just too busy to log on for too long. I did do a quick look of
the more recent postings.

I'm in Halifax now. I have to put Overproof into the water on May 15th.
It's good to be back home.

I'm driving to Yarmouth tomorrow to drop off my Yankee buddies who took the
trip with me so they can catch the ferry to Portland..... yes I hang out
with AMERICANS!

Just wanted to say Hi and clue you as to the W4 to date!

I'll check back later.... I have to make the liquor store for a bottle of
151 Lamb's Navy rum.

That's too many miles to drive even if you have a month.

Hehehee..

Really?

BTW, I found this Nordica 30 in Florida for sale. I told you in early
January that I was thinking of moving to Florida, (even before Katysails
mentioned it) but the plans have changed to the Caribbean, and shaky at
that.... Now I'm thinking maybe I should buy it for a temporary shelter,
but I have no one to teach me how to fly the craft from Florida to the
Caribbean.

Any ideas?

Yup.... I'll do it... but I have to reapply for my US VISA stamp so I can
enter your country. That will take at least 4 months.

The boat's name is "Octopus"

The owner just repowered it with a Yanmar 2GM. The only calamity being he
applied paint to the topsides and cabins with a brush. It looks terrible.
Other than that the vessel seems equipped for living aboard...

I have the photos of it on my hard drive if you care to see them. I believe
he's asking around 27K. Probably because of the painted topsides. What a
terrible thing to do to a fine vessel. The paint will have to be
professionally removed and the fiberglass restored to regain it's value.

Thanks! I'm sure it will be at least for months before anything is ready
anyway.

Maybe I should change the name to "Octopussy" to give it more of a James
Bond theme? LOL!

What about radios and nav equipment? Anything seriously wrong with the
interior?

I thought it was 25K last I looked, but it's been a while...

I've seen a few pics, I will look up the link and send it to you e-mail and
maybe you could let me know if they are the same ones you have on your hard
drive.

Is it possible that I could do some of the sanding? What would a reasonable
price be for this job if I hired a professional to do the work?
