Don, a better place to ask would be;
http://www.trailersailors.com/index2.tpl also, the O'day list at http://www.sailnet.com/ Where are you? Good luck with your new boat. Scott Vernon Plowville PA __/)__/)__ "Don" wrote in message ... Any brand is good.
Get a galvanized trailer and make sure the wheels are galvanized also. If it doesn't come with galvanized wheels, you can buy them afterwards. A galvanzed trailer will last for the life of the boat or longer. It will help the resale value of the boat as well. I also like Aluminum trailers. They are more costly but worth considering if you plan to haul your boat longer distances, and more often. Don't consider painted steel, even if the cost is lowest. They are a pain to maintain, and look bad all rusted up. Also, since your boat can be launched off a trailer, it will likely be immersed and need the protection of a galvanized surface. Single axle trailers are easier to push around, dual axle trailers are better on the highway. Your boat is small enough that it will only need a single axle trailer. Find a couple of boat trailer builders that do galvanizing, show them a picture of an ODay 222 trailer and ask for a quote.
