Sorry jaxie, when did I claim to "thread through granite ledges" using RDF? This is your fantasy, possibly because you've never been to Maine. Are you actually claiming no one ever cruises Maine? Its impossible? Do Lobstermen stay at home when there's a possibility of fog? Are you softer than puppy ****? The funny thing is, you agreed completely with me when you said "if one is far enough away from known granite ledges not all that bad as compared to just bobbing around in the water." If its "not all that bad" for approaches, what have you been ranting about? "JAXAshby" wrote in message ... jeffies, one of the problems of trying to treat a rumdum like as a human of at least ordinary intelligence is that you don't catch on even as quickly as mongrel dog learning to pee on the newspaper. if indeed you did thread your way through the granite ledges in a Maine fog as you say you did, you are lucky to have survived. unfortunately, you are too dumb to know how lucky. What a shame. All you did was embarrass yourself, jaxie. But you're used to that, aren't you? "JAXAshby" wrote in message ... The Numb-Nutted gNomes of kNighted Nowhere have responded as expected. That is when shown how and why RDF is not even close to 2* accuracy they start running in circles trying to catch their short tails, all while proclaiming apples are green and pixie dust tastes like chicken. Other people might say, "Gee thanks. I always wondered how that worked. I learned something today". But not N^5. The silly little Neutered Nabobs didn't learn anything because it was all too far beyond them. So they popped another tube of glue and nattered on, neighing at each other as the nullset ninnies they are. Jesus, and I gave them three days to google up enough info to write an explanation themselves. had they been able to do that they might have claimed they really did No. But Nummies they are, they nosedived. Again. Anyone wanna ask N^5 just how they used their claimed paper sextant in the moisture of a fog to tell position? If any of them did actually plow through the granite ledges in a fog off Maine, they got lucky even if they didn't know it. God takes care of fools and little children. |

actually, donny, I just did an explanation of how radio compasses worked and
how to figure accuracy of output so as to not hit the granite ledges off a fog bound Maine coast. you can go look it up, if you wish. particularly if there is potential you might some day actually sail and sail a big ocean all the way left, and do it on a boat without gazillions of electronic thingies onboard. the thread is interesing in at least one respect because we had one poster here, jeffies I believe it was, who claimed to have used a paper sextant in the fog to tell his position. not sure how he kept the paper from falling apart in the moisture, but he said it worked just fine. This he knew because he didn't hit any granite ledges. Did you have anything to contribute? Eh, Jax? |

Subject: There you have it, Folks.
From: (JAXAshby) actually, donny, I just did an explanation of how radio compasses worked and how to figure accuracy of output so as to not hit the granite ledges off a fog bound Maine coast. .....and it was full of errors, that otn pointed out, none of which you could counter.(uh-uh, if you didn't counter them, you couldn't counter them, pure and simple). you can go look it up, if you wish. particularly if there is potential you might some day actually sail and sail a big ocean all the way left, and do it on a boat without gazillions of electronic thingies onboard. LOL We all ready know that electronic gizmos don't help YOU any, ole "get's lost rounding Cape Hatteras Jax" with three GPS's. the thread is interesing in at least one respect because we had one poster here, jeffies I believe it was, who claimed to have used a paper sextant in the fog to tell his position. not sure how he kept the paper from falling apart in the moisture, but he said it worked just fine. I think that nobody will take you seriously about navigation issues until you learn to get better that 10 miles accuracy out of multiple GPS sets. you can go look it up, if you wish. LOL! That's very funny. Only a lunatic would waste time trying to find you that you were correct about anything. particularly if there is potential you might some day actually sail and sail a big ocean all the way left, and do it on a boat without gazillions of electronic thingies onboard. the thread is interesing in at least one respect because we had one poster here, jeffies I believe it was, who claimed to have used a paper sextant in the fog to tell his position. not sure how he kept the paper from falling apart in the moisture, but he said it worked just fine. After all, you failed to hit any ledges when you found that your three GPS's all had a user error of at least 10 miles. Regards Donal -- |
