Yes, but did you try it with the data/power cable attatched?

Why would I do that? It might damage the unit.

What's that got to do with you not knowing how to make it work?

You tell us. My outboard is also stashed away along with the Jiffy Reefing
lines...maybe I should learn how to start it?

Really, Martin! You're sooo silly!

If I should fall over while singlehanding,
I can swim to the dock ladder and climb out.

Well it certainly won't work unless you run the lines.

But he could run the lines in a jiffy, if he needed them.

Now that'd be more fun than a sack of hammers in a force 8
wouldn't it?

I particularly enjoy the part where you stand on the lee coaming and
try to wrestle the reefing line through the leach cringle while the
sail flogs. This should be an Olympic (or at least a pay-per-view)
event.

For bonus points, do it while steering with your foot and shouting
directions to the crew as to where the lifejackets are stowed.

How much fun *is* a sack of hammers, anyway?

Don't really know, it's an east coast thing, I believe it
involves large quantities of alcohol. Screech is best.

"He's too drunk to sing, let him drive!", an expression I learned
from friends on Grand Manan Island (Bay of Fundy), their method of
deteriming who drives home from the local watering hole.
