Bought an old fish processing plant and I'm in the process of
converting it to a house. Living on the boat out back for now. Hiring
contractors, and pulling my hair out dealing with the city getting
building permits. Want to put in a new bulkhead and dock first.

I've heard bad stories about the Panama canal. How did you find it?

Did you have problems with guides? Did you have to share locks with big
ships? Did you have any "law and order" issues?
