On the news now. Found hiding in a cellar in Tikrit. Apparently, now
confirmed that the man found is he, using DNA tests. -- Wally www.art-gallery.myby.co.uk Latest work: The Langlois Bridge (after Van Gogh) |

Is that because it takes a week for the test to work, or because there's usually a queue? -- Wally www.art-gallery.myby.co.uk Latest work: The Langlois Bridge (after Van Gogh) |

I'd imagine there'll be a reduction commensurate with whatever control or influence he (or his continued freedom) still had. I suspect there will still be other forces at work that aren't operating directly in the name of Saddam. This does have the potential to be the point at which the tide turns, though. CNN says the troops that captured him didn't fire a shot. Yup, I watched the press conference. Seems that he came across as feeling that the game was up. -- Wally www.art-gallery.myby.co.uk Latest work: The Langlois Bridge (after Van Gogh) |

And it wasen't a cellar, it was a crappy little hole in the ground. A cellar is to classy for such a ****ball. It will not be long before they root Ossama out of his ******** either. Joe |

They had been saying it was a cellar until the press conference was underway, when it was described as a 'spider hole' and some video was shown of it.
