Thanksgiving fast.

I bet I'm gonna be one of the few sensible persons
to celebrate Thanksgiving by fasting and exercising
instead of stuffing my face.

Bobsprit has already started stuffing his fat face. But,
Bobsprit is a fat hog and typical ugly American while I
am still dieting and now weigh 166 pounds. I refuse to
allow the holiday season to make me become obese like
most of you here who value your fat stomachs and clogged
cardio-vascular system over your quality of life.

I have a little request. I would like all the regulars here
to post a reply with their height and weight. Those who
do not reply will be assumed to be obese. I bet I don't
get even a handful of respondents.

My Height: 6'3
My Weight: 203 (today)

I'm hoping to build my chest and arms up a bit more, and with my naturally
healthy frame end up at around 215 or so. Over the winter I may drop to 195 due
to the running and biking, but I'm confident my muscles will grow quickly

You know what's really sad.

It's really sad that America is so obese. I go to the
grocery store and see all these obese people waddling
along the aisles loading their carts with all kinds of
sugary and fatty crap and it's gotten so that when I
do see, on rare occasions, a normal person he or she
actually looks skinny.

I look in the newspaper and almost every picture
of a person or groups of people show examples of
obesity. It's disgusting. Obese people have
the nerve to call normal people skinny. Even at
200 pounds (forty pounds overweight) I look
thin compared to the average person on the street
I see these days. Even the children are just plain
fat - just shorter versions of their pig parents.

I wish your foreigners would start calling a spade
a spade and start ragging on Americans as being
disgusting examples of obesity and lack of self-
respect and discipline when it comes to eating. I'd
say we need some serious shaming to point out how
disgusting obese and decadent most of us have
become.

You foreigners do have a more realistic body

Even at
200 pounds (forty pounds overweight) I look
thin compared to the average person on the street

This is sadly true. At 260, which is clinacly obese, I realized that I was
still thinner than half the people around. Still worse, most of those people
were not active in the least. No muscle beneath the fat. They were dying and
didn't know it.
The real trick to health isn't about being fat or thin, it's about being
active. A sedentery thin person is also in danger.

175 cms, 75 kg, 81cm waist. I have to pass an Antarctic medical every
year to go south and a couple of the things they're real picky about is
BMI and abdominal obesity. Real hard to do emergency ops on obese
people - instruments tend to disappear into the fat and finding your
way about is a PITA. Blobfish would never pass the physical, let alone

10lbs. over the winter with all the good holiday food! Today we are

having
a tequila brined turkey with pumpkin stuffing, black beans, mashed

potatoes
'n gravy, tamales, and I'm not sure what else my DIL is making. The

tamales
are my contribution as well as Mexican beer!

Not being a 'lady' I can comfortably say I'm 5'5" 112lbs. right now.

The
boys at the boatyard say I need to "beef-up" some. I usually gain about
