New Galley!!!
 

A friend of mine just had her kitchen redone. There's left over marble. It's
the green and black type from the Ming-Na region of China. She's giving me
enough to do the galley top, the dinette and the nav table!

Now here's the kicker - the stone cutter will cut and set the stone if I
take him and his girlfriend out sailing!

Since we're going all out on the stone, we're getting a Mienke convection
oven for the galley!!!! With built in rotissorie!!!

A top rate galley for the cost of a top rate oven/stove!!

If the green is copper can you use it for grounding the SSB too?

Make sure you apply fiberglass mat to the bottom since you may run the risk
of having it crack down the road and this will stiffen and reinforce the
slab and prevent that from happening. I believe all hulls flex no? Thereby
flexing the cabinets in your galley. Bad news for a marble slab. The
installer may not think you need it but its a cheap insurance policy. I'd
install it with epoxy. Oh by the way, I am a journeyman marble installer.
Also a carpenter cabinet installer for 10 years before that.
