How come . . .why is it?

The list says there is 159 messages to download but they won't download.
Sometimes it's 82 sometimes it's some other amount but all the messages
won't download. Any ideas? Applies to all the different discussion groups
... ?????

No one. KF is completely turned off. No filters of any kind. Nothing else
accounts for it unless it's the Windows ME Home version.

Your message rules block the ones that make up the difference?

Also if you don't have any rules then check options-read and make
sure you have 200 listed as the default number to download at
a time.

Try right clicking the newsgroup and selecting properties -
local file - reset. OK OK then go to your inbox then back
to the newsgroup. It should fill up nicely to whatever level
you have the read tab set at.

Before you try the above also try right clicking the newsgroup
and selecting 'catch up'.
