Default Beneteau again....!

Maybe the Beneteau built in Europe are a tad better than the ones built in the SE USA.
Remember, Neal once worked for another SE builder, Irwin. Probably much the same
workforce.

No new Beneteau, Catalina or hunter is as well built as most Pearson's,

C&Cs,
Tartans or Cape Dory's.
Ask any surveyor who knows sailboats.

Again, ask anyone who repairs or survey's boats how Beneteau stacks up. Maybe
everyone lies to Donal, or just maybe he read the rave reviews in cruising
world, but never spoke to surveyors. Few people do homework before buying a
boat. If they did Beneteau would have to improve their game.

Is this the same bevy of reviewers who love the latest Hunter boats?

Don't think so.

We can only hope. But Donal already admitted to using tape to make his floors
fit. Sounds like the same old Beneteau.

I think it's a matter of corporate policy, not geography. Some of the highest dollar/pound
or $/ft boats on the planet are built here in NC. The custom shops that build those
damnable souped-up sportsfishermen are backed up two years, prepaid. But I doubt any of
them made Ferenc Mate's book (and I bet they don't care, either).

Bob, could you post a link to where I said that I used tape?

Now add lying to Donal's list of credits. Have you forgotten your fix for the
loose floorboards when I posted someone's comments on them?
Typical.

Is it not true that you had to impliment a fix for rattling/loose floor boards?

This is your second chance to come clean.

Donal,

You're absolutely correct about a 25 yr old boat is NO comparison to a
new boat.

Poor Nutsy will always remain a LOSSER if he continues to compare "
Derelict" to anyone with a new boat. I hope some day he will feel the
joy of ownership of a factory fresh, brand new vessel.

Even the most uninformed purchaser knows a new car is of greater value
than a used model of the same manufacturer. The market value is the
perfect visual example of value.

When you consider present function of a sailing vessel; NEW is better
than OLD.

The only time an Old boat, car, house, etc is worth more is of a
collectors item. Not as a functional, usable thing

AND; "I'LL DRINK TO THAT!"
