How about a new boat vs a 25 year old boat? or something like that?
"Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Any Beneteau ever made is of higher quality, and more seaworthy than Bobby Sue's boat. Since you also own a C&C, that must put our boats pretty low down! Why not pose the Beneteau vs. C&C discussion on the list? I bet you'll get some imformed answers. Many of the people there really know boats and won't be biased. Capt RB |

No new Beneteau, Catalina or hunter is as well built as most Pearson's, C&Cs, Tartans or Cape Dory's. Ask any surveyor who knows sailboats. RB |

I didn't mention a name, just an age. Old is old, New is new. Some people
prefer new to old and used. I just was wondering why I don't need to have a new boat surveyed for the bank but do have to have a used boat surveyed? "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... I don't need to have a
new boat surveyed for the bank but do have to have a used boat surveyed? A fellow bought a new Beneteau 39 at my yard. He had to have it surveyed for insurance. RB |

Maybe everyone lies to Donal, or just maybe he read the rave reviews in cruising world, but never spoke to surveyors. Few people do homework before buying a boat. If they did Beneteau would have to improve their game. RB RB |

Maybe the Beneteau built in Europe are a tad better than the ones built in the SE USA.
Remember, Neal once worked for another SE builder, Irwin. Probably much the same workforce. "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Maybe the Beneteau built in Europe are a tad better than the ones built in the
SE USA. We can only hope. But Donal already admitted to using tape to make his floors fit. Sounds like the same old Beneteau. RB |
