Beneteau again? What do you base this on?

There was some discussion in the C&C list and there was mention of Beneteau
quality.
See below. Following that a few people echoed the comments on Beneteau.

We moved up to a C&C 37 XL this year. We previously had a 1988 Ericson 32
that we loved but got smaller as the family grew. We looked at many
different boats and had a very difficult time finding a boat that could
offer both speed for racing and luxury below for the family. Some of the
newer boats had what we wanted but no way could we afford them. We even came
close to buying the new 36.7 Farr designed Beneteau until I got a good look
at the quality or lack there of.

Any Beneteau ever made is of higher quality, and more seaworthy than Bobby
Sue's
boat.

Since you also own a C&C, that must put our boats pretty low down!
Why not pose the Beneteau vs. C&C discussion on the list? I bet you'll get some
imformed answers. Many of the people there really know boats and won't be
biased.

Oh Yeah... sure Bob.... there won't be any bias about other brands of boats
on the C&C list!
Get a grip on reality will you!
Sheesh!

The C&C list is not rabid about thier boats, nor am I.
But I'm glad to hear that Billy thinks a Beneteau is better than his C&C.
That's shows what he knows about boats. Very little indeed.

Hahahahahhahahahahahhahahaha.
I can see it now:

Honest C&C owner: "I bought C&C 'cos it's cheap, looks cheap and sails
poorly. In fact, compared to qaulity boats it's crap!"

Cheers MC

Quite a few reviewers and sailing experts like the new FARR designed Beneteaus.
I wonder what they are missing.

How about a new boat vs a 25 year old boat? or something like that?

No new Beneteau, Catalina or hunter is as well built as most Pearson's, C&Cs,
Tartans or Cape Dory's.
Ask any surveyor who knows sailboats.
