I just would like to get some input as to a good starter boat, it dosen't
have to be specific names or anything but something that could be
considered for ocean crossing.

You can go anywhere in a Alberg 30...or a rowboat. You'll need to provide more
details for help here. A few people here have actually gone to sea and may be
able to help, assuming this isn't a troll.
Ignore comments from Binary Bill, Skitch, Donal and Capt. neal. There is no
evidence that they sail at all.
