While that may be true, Neil uses a Honda outboard, and keeping with his
espoused philosphy he should forgo even that. Which was my point, having made the point you made on the Pardees in an earlier post. "DSK" wrote in message ... The Carrolls wrote: Quite a romantic view. Impractical as can be but purist and romantic. I add plastic resin to your list, and dacron fabric. Also aluminium spars, the only repair you can do without high welding skills on an aluminium rig is slipshod at best dangerous at worst. LCD displays on your gauges also. Romanticism has little to do with why the Crapton holds these beliefs, it's cheapstakism and stupidity. But the Crapton has probably screwed his up such that it doesn't work anyway. Which was my point, having made the point you made on the Pardees in an earlier post. Oh, sorry. I've been gone and missed a lot of posts. I skip some peoples, but usually not yours. Fresh Breezes- Doug King |

I've heard and read that you can't do better than a Honda. I bought a 2003 Honda Odessey a couple of months ago and I love it! They were rated number one last year (2003). Oh, sorry. Their outboards seem to be highly thought of. Personally, I hate outboards, but ours has been only a minor evil. It runs smoothly and quietly for a one-cylinder, starts easily, and gets quite good fuel economy. The one time it refused to start, I whispered that it was about to become an anchor, and it started right up. I like intelligent machinery. Oh, sorry. I've been gone and missed a lot of posts. I mostly come here to talk sailing, occasionally pausing to fling darts at those who deserve it.... DSK |

That's an oxymoron.
