Yonkers Film Festival Features Silver Screen Bombs

(YONKERS) Some of the worst movies ever made are being featured at a Yonkers
film festival - which is being held for laughs. The grade "B" movies feature
killer dwarves, giant ants, man-eating tomatoes, Robert Brody and aliens
from outer space.

A group of Yonkers business owners and property owners are sponsoring the
film series titled, "Really Really Really Bad Movies." Joan Jennings of the
Yonkers Downtown-Waterfront Business Improvement District, says they are
looking for something a little lighthearted."

The Wednesday night series will open October 1st in the Yonkers Riverfront
Library - beginning with the 1954 classic "Them." It's a movie about atomic
testing creating a race of monster ants that terrorize the public.

Other movies will be: ``The Blob,'' ``Destination Moon,'' and ``Mesa of Lost
Women.''

The film series ends December 12th with the infamously bad Ed Wood film,
``Plan 9 From Outer Space,'' which is often billed as the second worst movie
ever made, next to any Brody film.

The films will be shown in the Yonkers Riverfront Library auditorium
starting at 6:30 pm and are free to the public. A five dollar donation is
suggested. Robert Brody will be on hand to sign autographs.
