The draft on the main is too far back. What is the forestay tension
like? If it's saggy you would have been able to tighten the backstay to
good effect but with a deck mounted mast I doubt you'll adjust mast bend
so easily. You'll have to adjust the relative tension between uppers and
lowers.

They look like cheap crap Cappy!
Damn that jib's got the draft waaaay out the back door, and overtight
leech, and what's with all those woofles in from the leech.
The main....well maybe after a few years of wear of some intensive
sailing lessons that upper leech may open up.

We'll see eh?

The reef cringles are on sewn on straps. That aint' gonna hold up, Cappy. You
need a real cringle sewn into the sail.

The real riot here are the main and jib halyards. 3 strand rope! How do you
maintain luff tension Crappy? The last time I saw 3 strand rope used for any
running rigging was in the comedy Summer Vacation. I guess you can't use
double braid with Hong Kong Sails. They might explode.

Look again big boy. The rope is but a tail as the halyards are
wire/rope combinations. The wire commences only about a
foot above the cleat or winch. How much stretch does one
foot of rope have anyway. Bwahahahahahhaha!

My wire halyards stretch less than your high tech fiber crap!

Best bang for the buck is Ultra Tech by Samson. Technora core. Stay away from
Spectra for halyards. Kevlar is out and any of the other new fibers are still
high $$$.

Hmm, can I trust you? I can get a ride over to the Bahamas anytime.

How long does it take to get from the Bahamas to the Florida Keys?

I won't charge you for teaching me how to sail. Isn't that sweet of
me? I checked out a two hour basic instruction on sailing, and now I
know that the terminology is much like the aviation industry.

Let me know when you are available.
