Default Good place to buy boat parts?

That's the point Marc!!

He's not doing his own leg work. It's out there for those who want to find
it.
Instead he's here asking.. and getting no answers partly because he's vague
in what he wants and hasn't done the prep work.

I mean look at the question .."Are there any good US sites on the Internet
to buy boat parts like
snatchblocks, winch handles, etc.at a discount?"

Of course there are... even West Marine has sales and discounts. A trip to
his local marinas might get him better advise for his location from people
that have experience. Why would anyone think that 'better" deals are
available on the web?

Can't speak for everything, but I generally buy anything that is
non-perishable and cost over 25.00 online, My experience is that one can
find exactly what one is looking for at a lower price, after shipping,
handling and tax is taken into consideration. (Not to mention traffic, store
size, incompetent clerks, long checkout lines, etc. etc.)

Try SailLoco, a regular poster here. He will drop ship most any part you
might require. And he' cheap.

Try being specific about what you're looking for Dennis. Discounted parts
come at the premium of questionable history and dependability at times.

Ask
around for your local "Midnite Sailing Supplies" vendor. The local Thieves
Guild may have just what you are looking for in recently pilfered winches

or
would no doubt take orders on specific parts. I understand they have a
thriving business at City Marina in NYC run by an unscrupulous character
referred to as "Big Bob"......

Good Luck....

Well, what do you consider a discount marine store? Also if they arn't
discount stores and you know who is why did you ask the question in the first
place? I'm always looking for a bargin so post the names of who you consider
to be the titans of the industry.

Ok, I found some winch handles at ebay and I'm still looking for a good deal
on quality snatch blocks.

I need four snatch blocks so if I save $10.00 each that adds up. I looked at
a local marine store and they are over $110.00. Found some on ebay for
$89.00.

I got a good deal on my Flyer but there is hardware missing. Plus I'm going
to need a lot of nickel and dime stuff like turn blocks, safety kit
w/flares, air horn, horseshoe ring, etc.

I was hoping to find a good on-line discount store where I could get
everything in one shipment. But I guess the maufactures are protecting their
retailers.

Are there any good US sites on the Internet to buy boat parts like
snatchblocks, winch handles, etc.at a discount?

Thanks,

Dennis

Hi CM, I can't find any more information about Thieves Guild. Any links?
