There're other explanations, but things like personality disorders
are probably as far as the layman's concerned types of madness
anyway. One thing I do know is not to pick a fight with someone
who has mania: not because you'll immediately come off worse, but
because they'll certainly have more energy and obsession than you
to argue with far greater vigour than you'd have ever thought
possible and for much longer than you'd be able to stomach. IME
