You race tonight? How'd you do? Just after I got tied up (around 1500) a
nasty storm blew through Middle River.

The storm hit us about 5 min. after the starting gun went off. Blew a little
hard for a few min. but rained hard for what seemed forever. We went reaching
way off to keep the boat on it's feet in case some really big puffs were to
hit. They never did but that put us way off track to the windward mark. We
probably had the worst finish of the season. I heard later the biggest gust
was only 28kts.

I'd say 28kts was a little nasty with a full main, a 155% and pouring rain.
It wasn't horrendous but it was nasty. You would only be out in the simulated
mode.

The other thing the dimwit buttinski doesn't know is that Scott's position was
probably over 10 miles north of us and the storm could have been much different
there.

That's because 28 knots on your particular part of Long Island Sound equals about
8 1/2 knots everywhere else.

Bwahahahahaha!

Yeah...that's the new math which also applies to the SA for your trawler,
POWERBOATER!
Shame on you! You could have bought a C&C landfall 43 or 48!
