I saw a powerboat with a little SUV on deck yesterday. Disgusting. Funny too,
how the bigger the boat, the dumber the name. This one was "Life's Finest" or
some such.

We were in Port Washington last week and spotted a huge boat with a BMWSUV on
deck, right next to it's 20 foot tender. I couldn't see the jib/crane that
would lower it.
Some people have some serious bucks.

The Queen used to carry a Rolls Royce around on Brittannia. It was a bit of
a squeeze getting it into the garage (they had some sort of sliding rail
arrangement), so they switched to a SWB Land Rover.

On your Garmin GPS, which you claim to have, go to the tripcomputer
and "clear all" before you leave today. That will not clear the main
odometer, just the tripmeter. Take a picture of that screen that
alongside your phone with the date and time, before leaving.

Take photos of the map display showing your position at various points
along the trip. It doesn't have to be more that one showing where you
stop for the night, and one showing you being at the Thimble Islands.
Naturally, these should have the phone display next to them.

For extra credit, you can use the tracking feature for the whole
cruise, and show us a photo of your whole route when you "get back".

This eliminates any chance of you later claiming that you hailed me
while at the Thimbles, when in fact you were never there.

GREAT IDEA, Jane!

Egad!

You're a bigger loser than Bobsprit. Rather than
go sailing you're simply playing with electronic
toys while aboard (and probably motoring) your
boat.

How sad that those who brag the most about
sailing seem to do everything BUT enjoy sailing.

Don't overlook the other key parts to this plan.

Don't worry, neal. I'm not entertaining this fool. I'll hail him tomorrow
afternoon and have pics of the boat and the islands.
He can bleat on like a woman about how I photoshopped them!

You started out telling us that you were "sailing to the Thimble
Islands". That has diluted into, "we are going for a sail this
weekend, and we may or may not make it to the Thimbles".

Raise your hands if anyone thinks I plan to make the Thimble Islands this
weekend? How many times can you all be made fools of?
It's true, Suzanne and I are taking the boat for a trip today, but we are NOT
doing it on the LIS.
Now...wait until monday so I can rub your noses in it!!
Channel 9, Billy! You WILL hear me!
