**** does happen ,Bob. A short in a cell can take down a battery bank,
for instance, and no amount of maintenance or care can forstall it.
BTW, Wed. and Thurs. look good. Having the bottom cleaned and fresh
zincs today. She will fly.

On sailing into a slip....

It's good to have the skills to sail to your slip. I've done it, but it can be
tricky at more crowded places.
Your engine is a "boat system" and it should be functioning. Sailing into a
slip is good seamanship.
Doing it because you can't keep your engine running is BAD seamanship. Dead
batteries? No excuse for this and I'm sure even Neal would agree.

We really want to come for a sail, but only have evenings free starting next
week. Any chance of that...say after 5:00 or so one day? Suzanne really wants
to come along.
We're hoping to take a three or four day trip starting Friday morning.

Never give em an inch, Marc.
True Battery isolator protects #2 or #3 battery, so how did he flunk out on
house and starting? I'm guessing he has a proper isolator.

Evenings are problematical, Bob. We've got all Sept and Oct. Pick a
day and let me know.

Where are you cruising to?

We're thinking about going to the Thimble Islands, but the plan is just to take
the Con. side as far as we care to and just relax and swim. We're hoping
there's not excessive heat or rain for a change. Yesterday was great weather,
even during the rain...plenty of wind. I had a sailmaker from Doyle on board
(friend of mine) and we had a pleasant little sail. He came along when he saw
that I had a few women on board, rather than the usual youngsters.

Anchoring in the Thimbles can pose a challange. The only anchorage is
between Pot and High island and the bottom is loose to heavy mud.
Carry two different anchors. If a Danforth won't set, a Bruce, CQR, or
Delta will.

Here's a suggestion. Make a slip reservation at the Pine Orchard Yacht
Club, a combination Yacht, Tennis , Golf club with the worlds finest
showers. Dinghy through the Thimbles to your hearts content, and take
a taxi to Lenny's in Branford for a great meal.

I've printed your suggestions. We're not sure where we'll anchor yet. I have
two Danforth's and a Bruce...I'll set the alarm just in case.

Be forwarned as well, that Lenny's operates on a "cash only" basis,
and does NOT accept credit cards.

Nice of Sudzy to give you an allowance, loser!

You sure you weren't Kato Kalin in a previous life?

Two hours, fifty-seven minutes to achieve that feeble comeback.
F. Must try harder.

I'm not totally consumed by this group, as you obviously are to make such a
stupid statement.

Not stupid at all.
1) You ARE consumed with this group.
2) You take to long to reply.
3) When you reply, it's often feeble.

Thanks "PJ" ( LOL ...."pJ" .... it fits, especially with the "diddums").
Otn and I were doing a test to consolidate our APL (asinine poster list) and
you were sucker enough to volunteer.
Along with "bertie", "jax", "g burnore", and "daedalus", to name a few, you've
confirmed your position on our APL, so that we don't have to waste our time
reading and/or responding to any infantile post (all you are capable of) you
may wish to interject.
Thank you for your response, and for all the other "suckers" that do so, we
express our gratitude....... No further responses to be forthcoming.
