Iraqis Giving U.S. WMD Info

Former United Nations weapons inspector David Kay is back in Iraq -
and saying that Iraqis are now leading American weapons inspectors to
hidden WMD sites. I find this quite interesting. We're still waiting
on more details, as there are just a couple of blurbs on a couple of
the cable channels about this.

Note that this comes on the heels of the deaths of Uday and Qusay
Hussein, and the now-stated position of Saddam Hussein by Colin Powell
as nothing more than a piece of trash to be collected. It appears that
less Iraqis fear reprisals and are opening up and taking our
inspectors to hidden weapons of mass destruction. I knew this was
going to happen. I knew that we wouldn't talk about what we had so the
bad guys wouldn't find out what we're doing.

Three weeks ago Senators John Warner (R-VA) and Pat Roberts (R-KS)
came out after a recent trip to Iraq (Rush's coverage) and said they'd
been shown classified data with conclusive proof of the existence of
WMDs. Actually, they thought it would have been released by now. Word
was that it might take six months for the stuff to be checked,
assembled in a presentable fashion and released. Now we hear this
David Kay news. Iraqis obviously have begun to realize the irrelevance
of Saddam's Socialist Ba'ath Party and their fear of reprisals drops
by the hour. This is going to cause Democrats to eat crow when it all
comes out.

more than paperwork about even older programs.
