Hey Grasshopper,
How can you tell if you have horizontal or vertical wrinkles , how can you tell if the top batten is parallel to the boom if you don't look? How can you tell, or for that matter, why put tell-tales on the sail if you aren't going to look at them? When I tack I want my main sail trimer to ease the traveler enough to get speed back to where it was and then follow me as I work back upwind. I don't want to direct each move every single time.
