Doesn't seem to work. I tried right clicking on "r.boats" in the news
account and then on "Search messages" with both the subfolder and
server boxes checked. I entered the name of a thread in the subject
line. Nothing is returned. Looks like if you "delete" it really
means *delete*. I know you can click on "archive" and save the post.
My problem is I sometimes get a little over zealous in clicking on the
"delete".

Why delete? I just mark them read.

Mine prompts to confirm delete and warns that there is no trash folder.

Hmmm. You are using the same version of Thunderbird (24.3.0) that I am
using. I don't get a prompt to confirm a delete or warning of no trash folder.

Someone else mentioned the prompt to confirm delete as well. I must
have missed it somewhere in the setup. I'll go look some more.

Thanks

You can click on the message to not be bothered by the question again.
Maybe you clicked that.

I could have. Probably did. Don't remember. I wonder if there's a way
to change my mind. Not a big deal. I am getting out of the habit of
hovering the cursor over the "delete" button. That will help.
