A friend's wife recently received her LTC and was shopping for her

Nope. She wanted something bigger. She ended up buying a S&W
Governor that shoot's regular 45 rounds and also 410 bore shotgun
rounds.

I tried it out last week for the first time. Very nice. The 410
rounds are weird but I could see them as being good for snakes. They
have 3 large pellets and a bunch of smaller ones. Spread is
obviously dependent on range but up close ( 3 yards) it was about 3
inches.

If you are really thinking about snakes, use #8s or even #9 skeet.
Those disk shot are meant for 2 legged snakes.

Luckily, we don't have those snakes up here - yet. When the global warming *really* kicks in that
will probably change.
