Actually only 24% of NC owned slaves. How about reparations for my
family. My great grandfather walked with a limp from a Confederate bullet
wound. How many people alive now, were slaves in the South? How much has
it impacted them? My Great grandfather was Irish immigrant. Seemed like
they had some discrimination also.

Slavery and its aftermath had an impact on blacks for generations, and
prevented most from even beginning to attain middle-class-dom until a
couple of decades ago.

Nope, came with very little and had to work for what he got. My earlier
ancestors came here with no support groups either. And at least one
disliked the English for their actions here. And you do realize England had
slavery also?
