Many years ago, while moose hunting, we had to break the ice in the morning.
The ice had formed overnight to about 12mm thickness. It went from 10
degrees, when we went to sleep in the evening, to minus 15 in the morning.
We were using an aluminum boat with a 15 HP. It was hard going!
