i would say its a bit high...newport's
are alright, but i would rate them one
or two notched below a cal or ericson
27....$8k would get you a real decent
cal or ericson...needing nothing....$5k
is what i would be thinking for a newport 27..
in perfect shape...if it needs rigging, that
could easly reduce value ab $1k, or so...

.....but...if you have sailed it and had it
inspected...$3k is not too big of a difference
in price......
