Since the old man is boatless and cannot golf he obviously decided to make
this his new hobby. Expect to receive a never ending stream of emails from
him asking for contributions to all sorts of causes.

I wonder what his take is?

Do you get that television commercial for credit cards where the banker has
his hand in the back pocket of various people doing various sports/tasks
etc?
John reminds me of that banker.

Jimmy, the public display of a donation in the Race for the Cure site is
purely up to the individual making the donation. You seem overly concerned
with that idea. Are you afraid your donation is going to show up, or what?

I displayed my donation amount for two reasons, as proof that it was made,
and as a challenge to anyone to beat it.

Go for it!
