Default flat water canoeing in the sirras with no motor boats?

Can anyone recommend a fla****er canoeing destination in the Sierras
with no motor boats/no ATVs alowed? We liked Yosemite's Lake Eleanor a
lot, now looking for something north, in the Tahoe/Truckee area. We
have a light canoe and can carry it up to a mile from the car.

Apologies for the typo in the subject - I meant "the Sierras". Page
and Brin should implement a spellcheck.
