Default Suzuki 2hp Tell Tale

Hi

Picked up an 85 DT2 Suzuki 2Hp Outboard. Appears to have very lows
hours (paint is unscathed).
Problem is that fuel was not drained and the interior metal of the carb
has been etched. She starts up though and runs. Looks like a new carb
would be a solution. The bigger issue though, where in the heck is
does the water spit out? Had the little gem flashed up for a few
seconds in a garbage can and could not see tell tale.

Thanks

Johnny

Why replace the carb? A bit of etching in the metal shouldn't hurt
anything, just clean it out well.

Does it have a telltail? Look closely at the underside of the power
head, a hole should be obvious if it has one.

Bad luck.
Nothing like that ever happens around the Halifax clubs!

Default Suzuki 2hp Tell Tale

Hi again

1. When I lived in Dartmouth a few years ago I had a nice chainsaw
ripped off. Did that happen to be you Dry?

2. If I was going to steal anything from Nova Scotia, I'd make it count
and steal something nice like a Donelle Northumberland Straights
Lobster Boat.

3. The float bowl of the suzuki Carb is so badly etched, it ate right
thru the metal and I used POR-15 to temporarily plug it up. A 35 year
veteran mechanic said that he has never seen a carb so badly messed up
and he thinks it was water in the gas that reacted with the white
metal. I need a new float bowl or a new carb. Just missed one on ebay
for $15.00.

4. Can anybody tell me for sure if the Tell Tale is under the engine
head? Maybe mine is plugged.

Cheers

Johnny
