Default Spin-Tec Roller Furler

SPIN-TEC Roller Furlers are found at http://www.clrmarine.com/572.html
The new standard in roller furling systems

Our Triumph 2000 was engineered by sailors, for sailors. With no ball
bearings or complicated mechanisms to bind or fail, furling the sail
around the forestay is its only job.

Our system stands alone instead of being under constant stress from
heavy tension loads. The components are only under the compression
loads imparted by luff tension. There is virtually no friction or
resistance to furling. There is no possibility of halyard wrap because
the halyard is removed after the sail is hoisted. And there are no
bearing hang-ups from over-tensioned sails.

Other systems may look good when new, but after just a few years in a
marine environment they have literally rotted away. With Spin-Tec's
roller furling systems, all dissimilar metals are completely isolated
ensuring there will be no corrosion between the various components of
the system insuring long product life.

The Difference is in Superior Engineering
Spin-Tec's roller furling systems have a number of key features and
benefits not found in many other systems on the market.

Simple design
With a simplified design, there are no complex / moving parts to bind
or fail! As a result, the system requires no maintenance. No more
worrying about washing off / rinsing out your furling system after
each use!

Race/Cruise with ease
With the R/C 1000 it is simple to use either your racing or your
cruising sails without modifications to either the sails or the
furler. When cruising, tack your sail to the upper bail on the drum
and furl your sail. When racing, tack your sail to the lower bail and
use the foil as a racing foil. It's that simple!

No ball bearings!
The system has no ball bearings. Instead large Delrin bushings are
used in the lower assembly and smaller Delrin bushings are used
throughout each of the foil sections. System friction is near zero and
furling couldn't be easier. Bushing loads are minimal for low wear and
resistance. Lastly, Delrin bushings require no maintenance!

No halyard swivel!
The furling systems have no halyard swivel or ball bearing assemblies
(this is the device typically used at the top of the forestay to carry
the load of the sail hoist, separate the halyard from the turning sail
foil and reduce the possibility of halyard wrap). When using our
roller furling system, the halyard is removed from the sail after it
has been hoisted eliminating added weight and the need for a swivel
aloft.

No Opportunities for Corrosion Between Dissimilar Metals
The furlers have complete isolation of all dissimilar metals to
prevent corrosion. They utilize West System® Epoxy to isolate the
stainless steel drum from the aluminum foil sections.

Large Stainless Steel Furling Drum
Spin-Tec's furling systems includes a large 4" diameter drum to give
you maximum power/torque when furling your sail. The drum is
completely open (so you can easily deal with a riding turn should one
occur). Ever seen an aluminum roller furling drum after several
season's of use? You'll love our Stainless Steel Furling Drum that's
designed to survive the harsh marine environment.

Easy Installation
The system is simple to install and comes complete with everything you
will need for installation including furling line and lead blocks.
There is nothing else to purchase and many of our customers do their
own installations.

Don't want to install it yourself?

Lifetime Warranty
All units come with an Lifetime Warranty. The simple design and robust
materials allow us to offer a lifetime warranty that's tough to beat!
