Default Lessons from a capsize


I don't think it makes sense to make blanket reccomendations like "you
should always dress for immersion" when in fact one should take into account
all the factors involved. The coveat to this is that one needs the
experience and judgement to make an informed decision. Someone who has not
tested their abilities in a wide range of conditions should alsways err on
the conservative side.


FINALLY!!!! Someone else who has the intelligence to think for themselves
rather then lay prey to the mindless axioms that seem so prevalent in this
sport! Good for you, sir! Maybe there really is some hope that there are at
least a few good people in this activity who really understand that it is about
something more then thinly veiled attempts to make oneself look macho.
