Default Ship - GRIMSTAD 1-17 a.jpg

New Years day brought a combination of warm weather and enough sun for
a few photos of the tanker GRIMSTAD coming in empty, to the PBF
Delaware City , DE docks .

First one was a superzoom shot with the boat about a mile out .

Nice. It's amazing what a modern superzoom with image stabilization can do
for us.

Thanks.
I have picked up 3 different Canon superzooms for peanuts both new and
used on Craigs list and other places and am amazed how well they
perform , not just zooming but the whole range . At some point there
will be no more D SLRs, I predict .

I agree with you. I think the smaller sensors on interchangeable-lens
cameras and point-and-shoots are so good now that SLRs with their size and
complexity are going the way of the 4x5s.
Probably won't be too many years before we know for sure. Lots of good used
gear for us to choose from!
