Hi:

I spent 11 years as a merchant seaman mostly in the oil-patch (drill-ships
and supply boats). Went from Messman to Second Mate FG.

Looking to crew on a monohull sailboat. Want to get experience crewing for
when I retire and get my own sailboat.

Interested in deep-sea ocean going passages as well as any coasting work.

Have had a variety of careers ashore - carpentry, electrical, quality
assurance, aircraft maintenance engineer, manufacturing, diving.

If you have anything available or know where I ought to look, please reply
to this posting.

THX

Peter,
Best way is - to explore the local yacht clubs. There are usually races
once or twice a week and the owners that race their boats are usually
looking for crew. I did that a number of years ago and learned a lot
even though I had been sailing for a while.
