Is there a web site that tells me what going as far as rainfall in N.C ?
Going on a rafting/kayak trip over memorial day weekend.

You can get realtime streamflow information on North Carolina rivers at <http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nc/nwis/>
Check the particular river that you are going on to get historical data
and then check it as the trip approaches.
This season's rainfall has been sporadic, so some rivers are near normal
and some are low.

Not looking good for the broad river. Couldn't find info on ocoee river.

Perhaps because the Ocoee is in Tennessee? Since the Ocoee is
dam-release, you don't need to worry about rainfall.
Did you mean the French Broad?

Releases on the Pigeon River also begin Memorial weekend (Saturday
only, I think). If you're not familiar, check out AW's page. Its a
great class 3 playboat run, and its about the same distance from
Asheville as the French Broad (Section 9).
