Saginaw Bay

We are planning a trip to the Saginaw Bay area in a few weeks. Any
advice on where to put in and what sights are worth a look would be
appreciated. We are beginning kayakers so we are playing things safe.

How close will you be to East Tawas? The state part there is a good one. If the
water is too rough on the lake side, you can put in on the bay side of the
peninsula. It's a large bay and should be protected.
